Testing by accredited laboratories provides the objective evidence needed to demonstrate compliance — either for self-declaration (CE marking via internal control) or as input to Notified Body assessment.
Laboratories may be accredited by national accreditation bodies (e.g. DAkkS, UKAS, RvA) under ISO/IEC 17025. For regulated products, test reports from competent labs form a core part of the technical documentation required for market access.
