European
Compliance Platform
Describe your radio product, frequency bands and applicable ETSI or EN standards — ECP matches your request to accredited laboratories with the right RF, EMC and safety test capabilities for RED compliance.
RED 2014/53/EU applies to all radio equipment placed on the EU market — any product that intentionally emits or receives radio waves. This includes Wi-Fi routers, Bluetooth devices, mobile phones, IoT sensors, drones, wireless industrial equipment, and many other product types.
RED requires compliance with essential requirements covering radio spectrum efficiency, EMC, and electrical safety. For most radio products, compliance is demonstrated by applying harmonised ETSI standards. In some cases, a Notified Body involvement is required.
| Test Area | Typical Standards |
|---|---|
| RF output power & frequency accuracy | ETSI EN 300 328 (2.4 GHz), EN 301 893 (5 GHz), EN 300 220 (SRD) |
| Occupied bandwidth & spectral mask | Technology-specific ETSI standards |
| EMC emissions (radiated & conducted) | EN 55032 / CISPR 32, EN 301 489-1 + specific part |
| EMC immunity | EN 55035, EN 301 489 series |
| Electrical safety | EN 62368-1 (or EN 60950-1 for legacy products) |
| SAR (body-worn devices) | EN 50663, EN 62209 series |
Describe your radio product — technology (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LTE, proprietary RF), frequency bands, target standards, sample status, and your CE marking timeline. ECP routes your request to accredited RED test laboratories matching your scope.
You receive lab responses with test scope confirmation, timelines, cost estimates and next steps — without searching lab directories or sending unanswered inquiry emails.
