Providers commonly structure quotes in one of three ways. The labels are not standardised, so compare the included work and the provider's definition of a product, device family or generic device group.

Use the calculator below for an internal planning envelope. Its assumptions were revised on 20 August 2026; they are deliberately broad because providers do not publish a directly comparable tariff for the same mandate scope.
There is no official EU tariff or current public price index for EC REP service fees. The reviewed providers require a quote, and offers are not comparable until the mandate scope is normalised. Use the planning calculator to reserve budget, then obtain written quotes that separate the annual mandate fee, onboarding and document review, EUDAMED work, national fees, changes, vigilance support and termination or transfer assistance.
A useful official cost signal is the fee charged by the relevant national authority, where applicable. For example, Ireland's 2026 HPRA schedule sets annual fees charged to authorised representatives of €1,200 per low-risk represented manufacturer and €1,635 per high-risk or mixed-risk represented manufacturer, with caps. These are Irish regulatory charges to the authorised representative—not a universal EC REP service price—and a provider may pass them through, include them or price differently.
A low headline fee may be available, but it is only meaningful when the quote covers the same legal entity, portfolio and operational work as competing offers. Ask whether onboarding, technical-documentation review, EUDAMED registration, authority requests, incident support, annual changes and transfer-out assistance are included or billed separately.
When comparing low-cost options, check the provider's liability insurance coverage, EUDAMED registration experience, and responsiveness to market surveillance inquiries — the cheapest option is not always the safest one.
The main quote drivers are the portfolio definition, risk class and liability exposure, depth of document review, EUDAMED and national registration work, volume of post-market and authority support, frequency of changes, additional jurisdictions and the insurance carried by the entity accepting the mandate.
Contract length, renewal terms and termination support also affect total cost. Ask for a three-year total-cost view, but do not assume a standard multi-year discount.
The cost of representation depends on the scope: product category, target markets, liability exposure, documentation volume, and ongoing obligations all affect pricing. Beyond EC REP, non-EU manufacturers may also require these additional representative and compliance services, each with their own cost structure:
